Your Program Deserves More Than a Half-Finished Handout
Let’s make program materials to be proud of
Finish What You Started
Museum-Ready Materials
Customized and Affordable Done-For-You Solutions
Your audience deserves more than clip art from the early 2000s.
But here you are, still handing it out because the “new version” has been sitting half-finished in an open browser tab for months.
But we both know that it’s not just about how your materials look.
It’s really about whether your materials actually work.
Do they reflect your program’s purpose? Do they reinforce your site’s mission? Or do they feel like generic worksheets anyone could download from the internet?
Outdated program materials leave you with:
guilt over half-finished “someday” projects stacked on your desk
exhaustion of desperately patching together another Canva file before a field trip
embarrassment of giving teachers and families materials that don’t live up to your own expectations
sinking feelings that your audience is missing out because the tools you offer don’t deliver on your learning goals
Stop agonizing over outdated materials.
Here’s the truth…
You don’t want materials that look nice—you want resources that make an impact. You need tools that:
Showcase your professionalism - resources that reflect the quality of your programs and the standards of your museum
Reinforce your mission - materials that connect directly to your site’s purpose and learning goals
Save your time and sanity – a creation process that doesn’t demand late nights and emotional support browser tabs
Respect your reality – affordable support that lets you build cohesive resources, without blowing your budget.
Because you just need your resource materials to be done.
You need materials to be done right, in a way that supports your audience, your mission, and your own capacity.
Audience-centered program elements support on-site engagement, continued learning, and repeat visitation, while professional materials reinforce your museum’s credibility in the eyes of Board members, funders, and community partners.
✅ Affordable & Modular – Start small with one block, add more as your budget allows.
✅ Research-Backed – Every activity is developmentally appropriate and designed to engage.
✅ Audience-Ready – Professionally formatted, on-brand, and field-tested with your real visitors.
Support You Didn’t Know You Could Afford
Too often, customized consulting services are only accessible to large institutions with a big budget or they require a soul-sucking grant funding (and finger-crossing) process to afford.
But we are flipping the script on who can get access to this level of support by introducing a new way to conceptualize and complete consulting projects.
Museum-Ready Materials is a flexible and project-scaled modular offer. This means you get expert-level program materials created in manageable “blocks.”
Each block is:
Standalone functional — ready to use on its own.
Mission-aligned — designed to reflect your goals, your audience, and your site.
Stackable — able to build toward a larger, cohesive program suite over time.
Think of it like this:
A Teacher Guide is a project. Each lesson inside it is a block.
A Scavenger Hunt Series is a project. Each grade-level version is a block.
You don’t have to do it all at once. You can build smart, polished resources one block at a time—without the overwhelm or the giant price tag.
What Is a block?
A block is one discrete component of an educational program or resource. It’s a single deliverable that is:
Standalone functional (can be used on its own),
Can be part of a larger project, if desired.
Examples of a block:
One differentiated scavenger hunt (per age group)
One lesson in a pre-visit teacher guide
One activity in a traveling trunk guide
One gallery activity card
Is it a block?
Is it complete on its own?
Is it 2-3 pages in its complete design?
Does it have explicit or implied objectives, standards, instructions, and activity?
Museum-Ready Materials are the only collaborative, done-for-you design service that turns your half-finished ideas into finished, polished resources that are tailored to your audience, aligned with your mission, and ready for the real families, students, and teachers who walk through your doors.

FAQs
It’s time to stop staring at those half-finished drafts, wondering when you’ll actually get around to them.
You’re not alone. Every museum educator I know has a desk piled with “someday” projects and open tabs that never seem to close.
The good news? That’s exactly what Museum-Ready Materials is here to fix.
-
A block is one complete, ready-to-use resource—like a scavenger hunt for one age group, a single lesson in a teacher guide, or a gallery activity card. Each block stands on its own and fits seamlessly into a bigger project over time.
-
That’s the point! You don’t need polished drafts to start. I work from whatever you have—post-it notes, outdated handouts, or even just a big idea in your head—and turn it into something professional, purposeful, and polished. No judgment, just progress.
-
Absolutely not. That’s the beauty of the modular design. Start with one block and add on as your budget and timeline allow. Most projects grow piece by piece—no giant price tag, no overwhelming process.
-
Your first block is $375. Each additional block in the same project is $200. Most museums build out 3–10 blocks in one project. This structure keeps the entry point accessible while letting you scale up at your own pace.
-
The exact timing is dependent on several factors, but in general, we try to get a completed prototype to you for testing in less than 6 weeks (most are ready in under a month)! You get unlimited revision for a full month, and after that, you will have access to me for 6 months for up to 2 more revisions.
-
Projects are a series of related blocks — such as multiple scavenger hunts for the same exhibit or multiple lessons in the same Teacher Guide. You do not have to commit to all your blocks at once. You can add blocks to a project for up to 12 months.
-
You’ll see drafts early, and revisions are unlimited for a full month after delivery. Plus, you get a 6-month “Try It and Tweak It” guarantee, with up to 2 more revisions. So if something doesn’t click with your real audience, we’ll fix it. Additionally, you will have access to the editable Canva document so that you can make any small tweaks now or in the future!
-
Great! We can combine Museum-Ready Materials with other services—like audits or professional development workshops—for a full-suite upgrade. I’ll help you design the package that makes the most sense for your goals.
-
That’s completely normal—and honestly, it’s why this offer exists. You don’t have to walk in with a perfect plan. I’ll guide you through a simple intake process and help prioritize what matters most. Think of it as clearing the clutter: we’ll take what you already have (even half-finished drafts or scribbles) and turn it into a clear, doable plan that builds momentum instead of guilt.
